Some friends and family have gotten the full impact of it in the last
few hours, and I must say they are VERY patient.  By now, however,

  z6 k0 K: i# d) m" {I stopped at Office Depot today and bought a CanoScan LiDE 90
& S) }8 `) r5 Z. k' gscanner.  For months now I\'ve been wanting a simple scanner for my
; ^* G1 q9 v! l, s4 ^slides and photos. Every other place I went to, like Wal*Mart and
Target, only sold the printer/copier/fax/scanner units.  I already own
  b! D4 T) n! R' I( Qall of that except for the scanner and wasn\'t about to spend hundreds
of dollars for more than I need.

% {. B( L% q1 X& ~7 DThis scanner costing under $80 does a great job on my photos, even the
ones of me as a baby.  My slides of astronomical art by Morris Scott
Dollens come out okay even after collecting dust for decades.  I
should be kept busy for days scanning all the photos I\'ve saved over
: P6 o, Q' |8 hthe years in an old suitcase.  Now if I could only figure out who all
) |$ G# U1 p" n) b! W6 ^$ P/ wthose people in really old photos are!
