Major Responsibilities:. V* o% B% } U/ A, a/ ]/ g
• Work closely with executives and management teams to assist providing guidance, champion projects and organizational development to foster and maintain a positive and productive work environment.6 u' ?0 Y9 R- ]6 _) S3 o
Provide support to the manager on the delivery of full spectrum of HR duties including, but are not limited to the following areas:$ |" ?+ S2 C: X9 I. G1 O& U' z/ C
• Performance management – Provide guidance and advice to line managers in performance management and taking disciplinary actions! l+ b' H) ]- @* S8 u
• Maintain Policy Compliance – Assist the manager in ensuring relevant HR-related documentation are handled in compliant with the statutory legal and company requirements; provide advice and assistance to managers on the interpretation and administration of HR-related policies and programs9 S C& b; l4 O- Y8 N: v
• Health & safety and disability management – Support WSIB Claims Management process, ensure incidents &/or accidents are handled timely to mitigate risk of penalty, partner closely with stores and the external Claim Consultant on the claim’s status.9 L( B& ]; G& v6 e2 _0 k8 @& Y% n
• Staff communications – Arrange, organize, and conduct independently staff forums on a regular basis to listen to their concerns, work with other departments to provide solutions and feedbacks
) Q4 @+ t& Y# Q- T& Y: R• Compensation & benefits – Contribute ideas to, support and execute initiates related to payroll, group insurance and benefits plans launch by Head Office on a timely manner
* c' A* A9 f" N7 Q, u0 ~• Training & development – Actively involved in workshops and training to users based on their training needs) \3 g$ Y- L# b- `) M# y) v; k$ t8 W& g$ H
• Other HR project– Lead, participate and contribute to HR projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements5 E3 M! M6 D7 j9 P$ A5 \6 I' \
• Possess at least 1 to 3 years of progressive HR generalist experience.4 z; e; z8 s, U
• Possess familiarity with applicable labour legislation, health & safety legislation, human rights and worker's compensation policies and vast experience in handling employee/labour relations
& u' A4 u3 G) G* Z- B. `• Business minded with good financial acumen & sound project management skills
2 z% R" W! Z* a/ H# x* I6 g• Previous experience in a fast-paced business environment, preferably in the retail industry or supermarket chain store operations
r# @! c F8 L; R/ a/ @! k0 D• Excellent interpersonal, and management skills and high professional standards for customer service and work quality" s% O' B( _& x, H2 m
• Able to handle confidential information professionally and in an ethical manner# }8 y% n! }* p. y+ Q# L
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously" @1 I% B, d$ A6 H
• Strong writing, verbal, and presentation skills; must be fluent in English and is able to understand, speak read, and type Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin).3 i$ U% `3 Z1 Q# I5 {" H
