Responsibilities
! M- e9 v2 g) i: j% [5 e! x5 W- Supervise each production line and make sure operating smoothly
- Manage warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage and to achieve full warehouse optimization
- Ability to coach, train and lead work teams to achieve performance as it relates to specialization in receiving, shipping and processing
- Coordinate, assign, and review the work of the Shipping Department and all employees involved in logistics control
- Plan and execute logistics needs with trucking firms to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, while minimizing overall freight costs.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods and shipments, and report any damages, defects, discrepancies
- Coordinate activities with other work units or departments( ` Z: l- |' o/ z
Qualifications - 2-3 year warehousing/ production line experience and supervisory experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or related fields preferred
- Work experience with ISO9001 Quality System is desirable
- Training and knowledge of Six Sigma techniques and Lean Manufacturing
- Strong leadership abilities and the capability of motivating
- Excellent communications skills for liaising and communicating with vendors, customers and internal departments
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite
- Ability to perform physical activities and lift or carry items between 25 lbs. when required
